About the Experts

Darren Pescod – Founder and MD of The Mortgage Broker Ltd.

With 20 years of running multi-award The Mortgage Broker and having experienced and traded through the Dot.com crash, a recession and the previous housing market crash in 2008 Darren is well placed to understand the needs and concerns of homeowners in the current housing/mortgage crisis that the UK is experiencing.

Jack Pirie – Partner in Local Estate Agency Pirie Homes

Has over 10 years of experience in the Local Property market including successfully trading and navigating through the COVID-19 Pandemic. Jack is very well placed to give a view of the latest outlook for the local property market with the onset of much more challenging conditions caused by the turmoil and anticipated economic downturn.

Tim Lovett – Managing Director of Lovett Sales & Lettings

Tim has over 15 years of experience in bricks and mortar, having spent his formative years working for a national housing association on the transformation of the Olympic Athletes Village in Stratford, developing it into a new residential community.

Having left the social housing sector in 2014, today Tim heads up the Family estate agency founded by his Parents almost 40 years ago. Using the knowledge and experience gained from his previous work, Tim has developed Lovetts into a multi-faceted residential agency over the past few years. With over 700 managed properties on their books, Lovetts is the largest independent property management company St Neots and the surrounding areas.

Due to his passion, strategic thinking and ‘we can do this together attitude, Alex has recently joined the St Neots Initiative (SNI) as Chair. Run by a collective of driven volunteers, the SNI have a clear focus; energising the people, places and prosperity of St Neots.

The SNI is at the heart of the beautiful market town of St Neots in Cambridgeshire. We work with the local community, businesses and authorities to make real change; promoting and further developing St Neots to be a great place to live, work and play.
