St Neots Citizen Hub Celebrates Successful Launch and Early Achievements

St Neots Initiative (SNI) is delighted to announce the highly successful launch of the Citizen Hub, a transformative initiative aimed at bridging the gap between local residents and a world of opportunities. Opening its doors on 31st July 2023 at 58 Market Square, the Citizen Hub has already made significant strides in empowering St Neots residents with valuable skills, training, and job prospects.

Since its grand opening, the Citizen Hub has welcomed over 100 visitors, establishing itself as a vibrant hub for the local community. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the deep enthusiasm and excitement among St Neots residents to explore new opportunities and connect with local businesses.

One of the key achievements in the early days of operation has been the successful sign-up of more than 50 learners for free skills training courses offered by eVolve your future ltd, an esteemed independent training provider with a 17-year history of empowering individuals. These courses include offerings in self-employment, English as a second language, functional skills, and health & safety, providing individuals of all backgrounds with valuable tools for personal and professional growth.

In addition, the Citizen Hub has also been instrumental in creating local employment opportunities. Local employers signed up as St Neots Initiative members, now have their job vacancies on display at the hub, facilitating a direct and efficient connection between businesses and job seekers. Already, 12 citizens have expressed their interest in finding local employment through the hub, demonstrating the tangible impact of this collaborative initiative.

St Neots Initiative, together with eVolve your future ltd, is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive space at the Citizen Hub, where individuals can access a range of opportunities to enhance their lives and careers. Throughout August, the hub will be open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on weekdays as the team continues to build and refine the hub’s offerings. Full opening hours will be implemented starting in September.
