Volunteer Role – Company Secretary

Volunteer Role – Company Secretary

We’re looking for someone organised, thoughtful and community-minded to support the way St Neots Initiative runs behind the scenes.

This is a volunteer role, but an important one.

You’ll be helping us keep things clear, well run and joined up as we continue to grow what we’re doing across the town.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work closely with the Chair and Vice Chair to:

• Help organise board meetings (agendas, notes, keeping things on track)
• Keep key documents and records up to date
• Make sure we’re doing things properly and staying on top of governance
• Support new people joining the leadership team
• Act as a steady pair of hands when things get busy

There’s also flexibility to support other parts of SNI where needed.

What this role is really about

This isn’t about paperwork for the sake of it.

It’s about helping a volunteer-led organisation stay strong, credible and able to deliver real impact in St Neots.

A lot of what we do happens because the foundations are solid. This role helps make sure they stay that way.

Who this might suit

You might be a good fit if you:

• Like bringing structure to busy environments
• Are organised and good with detail
• Can communicate clearly and confidently
• Care about doing things properly, without overcomplicating them
• Want to contribute to something meaningful locally

You don’t need to have done this exact role before.

Time commitment

Around 10 hours per month on average, with some flexibility depending on what’s happening.

What you’ll get

• A central role in shaping how SNI operates
• Experience working with local leaders and decision makers
• The chance to contribute to something genuinely making a difference
• A strong role to add to your experience or CV

If you’re interested, or just want a conversation to see if it’s right for you, get in touch.
