Role Summary:
The Volunteer Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the coordination of projects within the various streams of activity undertaken by St Neots Initiative. This role is integral to ensuring the successful execution of projects and initiatives aimed at advancing the organisation’s mission. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the project teams and leadership to facilitate effective communication, organisation, and timely execution of project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to define project requirements, goals, and deliverables.
- Assist in developing project plans to be shared with stakeholders.
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and activities to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor project progress and communicate any creep in scope or risk.
- Support in the identification of project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of progress reports, proposals and presentations.
- Maintain project documentation, plans, and reports for reference.
- Support in facilitating project meetings.
- Provide administrative support to project teams as needed, including scheduling, record-keeping, and logistics.
Requirements:
- A passion for the mission and values of St Neots Initiative.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software is preferred but not essential.
- Prior experience in project coordination or similar role is an asset but not essential.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Duration and Time Commitment:
The role of Volunteer Project Coordinator requires a commitment of approximately 6-8 hours per week. The duration of the role is ongoing, however, we are seeking a commitment of at least 3 months.
Note:
This is a volunteer position, and no financial compensation will be provided for time spent. However, agreed-upon expenses will be reimbursed provided relevant records are provided. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and make a significant impact within the local community.
