Citizen Hub – Barista Volunteer

Purpose of the Role:
The heart of the Hub’s welcome. You’ll keep people fuelled with a good drink and something worth smiling about — and you’ll notice who might need a bit more than just a coffee.

Key Tasks:

• Welcome citizens warmly and make them feel at home from the moment they arrive.
• Prepare hot and cold drinks to order — barista training provided.
• Keep the café area clean, stocked and inviting throughout the day.
• Notice if someone seems unsure or overwhelmed, and gently point them in the right direction.
• Support the team with light refreshment prep for events.

Skills & Qualities:

• Warm and approachable with a genuine interest in people.
• Comfortable being on your feet for a session.
• An eye for when someone might need a little extra care.
• No barista experience needed — full training provided.

Time Commitment:
One day per week, 10am–4pm (flexible).
