28 Jan Citizens Gathering January
The first Citizens Gathering took place at the Citizen Hub earlier in January 2025. The opening subject was the vision and future for St Neots Initiative for 2025. It was also the opportunity to introduce Citizen Hub St Neots CIC and its partners.
With Alex Hughes hosting the event, supported by his two Acting Vice Chairs, Pam Branch and James Chandler, the citizens were given an overview of SNI’s history, explanation as to why Pam and James wanted to be part of SNI.
This followed with an overview of the activity that SNI is currently involved with, too numerous to mention here, come along to find out more.
Introductions were made to Katy Davis, Co-Founder of Citizen Hub with Nick Hayward of Bedford College Group. Other partners include not only SNI, Cambridge Regional College, Money Advice St Neots (MAST), All About Soul (formerly Art and Soul).
The citizens who attended also shared their backgrounds, reasons they were attending and what brings them to St Neots.
All the above was about a sense of Place – which is why Huntingdonshire District Council have kindly provided a grant for these Citizen Gatherings.
We have a planned schedule for the rest of 2025 for the Citizen Gatherings, with the next one on 12 February 2025 focusing on Sport.
